Tally is not medical advice
Tally records what you tell it you ate and adds up the numbers. It is a notebook, not a clinician. Nothing in it is medical, nutritional or dietary advice, and it is not a substitute for a doctor or a registered dietitian. Talk to a qualified professional before changing what you eat, especially if you are pregnant, are managing a medical condition, or have a history of disordered eating.
Nutrition numbers are estimates
Calorie and macronutrient figures come from Open Food Facts, USDA FoodData Central, and foods entered by you. Open Food Facts is community-maintained, so entries can be incomplete or wrong, and manufacturers change recipes without changing barcodes. Treat every number as an approximation. If one looks wrong, it may well be — correct it by creating your own food entry.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Give a real email address, because password resets go there. One person per account.
Your content
The foods, recipes and meal templates you create stay yours. Tally stores them to show them back to you and claims no ownership. They are visible only to you.
Acceptable use
Don't attack the service, scrape it, or use it to break the law. Tally's food searches ride on free public APIs, so automated bulk querying spoils it for everyone.
Availability
Tally is provided as-is, with no guarantee of uptime and no warranty. It is a small independent app, not an enterprise service. Keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose. To the extent the law allows, Tally's developer is not liable for losses arising from your use of the app.
Ending things
Delete your account whenever you like, from Settings → Delete account. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. Accounts used to abuse the service may be suspended.
Changes
These terms may change; the date at the top will say when. Continuing to use Tally after a change means accepting it.
