Getting help
Email hello@tally.quest and you'll get a reply from the person who built Tally. Include what you were doing and what happened; a screenshot helps.
A food's calories look wrong
Most foods come from Open Food Facts, a community-maintained database, so entries can be incomplete or out of date — and manufacturers change recipes without changing the barcode. Create your own food with the correct numbers and Tally will prefer yours in future searches.
A barcode isn't recognised
That product isn't in Open Food Facts yet. Add it as your own food, and consider contributing it to Open Food Facts so the next person finds it.
The scanner won't open
Tally needs camera access. Check Settings → Tally → Camera on your device. Barcodes can also be typed in by hand if the camera can't read one.
I forgot my password
Use "Forgot password?" on the login screen. The reset email arrives within a few minutes — check your spam folder before emailing about it.
Deleting your account
Settings → Delete account. It takes effect immediately and erases everything you have logged. Want a copy of your data first? Email the address above and ask.
Tally is not medical advice
Tally adds up numbers you enter; it is not a clinician and gives no medical, nutritional or dietary advice. Speak to a qualified professional before changing what you eat — especially if you are pregnant, managing a medical condition, or have a history of disordered eating.
